WHAT IS MEDITATION?

Meditation is a science of taming and utilizing the mind. Meditation involves making friendship with our body, senses and mind rather than controlling them with force. It constructively provides the tools for success in everyday life, personal accomplishments, or spiritual life. meditation is misunderstood as a special practice requiring extra time, preparation, discipline and sacrifice. It is also looked at as only suitable a select group of dedicated people. In reality, meditation is applicable everyone regardless of age, physical condition, or belief system. It is be practiced in a quiet sitting position, or applied to normal daily activities.

The two main tools required for meditation are breath and awareness. Anyone who breathes and thinks can learn to meditate, regardless of his her physical condition. Understanding the true essence of meditation I generate enthusiasm. One realizes that a few moments spent in meditation each day are a great investment that will produce valuable comes.

Meditation involves undoing instead of doing. We are hypnotized 1 conditioned through life due to repeated programming and associations. The goal of meditation is to undo these processes and wake from the spell of hypnosis.

Meditation is the process of going inward and practicing aloneness with Self. Aloneness should not be confused with loneliness. Aloneness gives security, contentment and fulfillment and allows you to rise above dependence on outside sources. One cultivates renunciation to break away from conditioned, compulsive behaviors. Going inward gives one energy and direction to go outward with greater intensity to succeed in life. The outward shot of an arrow originates from the slow controlled pull inward.

Meditation is like looking at a map before starting a journey. A small amount of time spent looking at a map will save you from getting lost. Meditation provides happiness in life and teaches you to cope with mundane life. By practicing meditation, you explore your inner potential. Like binoculars, meditation focuses on situations in your life and lets you see them clearly. One breaks down matter and experiences into small components to see the impermanent nature of existence. Meditation expands our consciousness to allow us to rise above the limitations of time and space to experience reality as is. It removes the cause of suffering, which is illusion and attachment.
